Exempt full-time position, responsible to Educopia Institute Business Manager*
The administrative coordinator will deliver essential coordination and support as part of a small, dynamic, and fully remote team. Working across Educopia’s three affiliated communities and our research division, the individual recruited for this position will perform a wide range of functions that include scheduling, project coordination, data entry (accounting, CRM), travel arrangements, event arrangements, and note-taking. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and will be professional, responsive, and highly organized. The ideal candidate will also be a self-starter who enjoys independence and variety in their work, including working with several individuals across a large portfolio of projects that span multiple topical areas. They will also share our passionate belief in the importance of collaboration and community building across libraries, archives, and museums.
- Manage Executive Director’s emails and calendar
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings
- Data entry
- Note-taking (including periodic transcription)
- Organizing expense reports and reimbursements
- Maintain electronic filing systems
- Formatting documents
- Contributions to Educopia-wide planning and goal-setting
- Support for research, publications, and outreach
- Occasional support for travel and events
- Administrative and troubleshooting tasks associated with various platforms (Google Suite, LastPass, Slack, AWS)
Bachelor’s Degree preferred and proven work experience in a related field. Excellent attention to detail, able to communicate effectively and professionally, and provide flexible support on a wide variety of administrative tasks.
Familiarity with the following technologies and programs: Google Suite (Calendar, Email, Drive, etc.); Bill.com; Zoom; Slack; Asana; Salesforce; WordPress. Familiarity with bookkeeping and invoicing.
Compensation and Application
Salary range is $32,000-$42,000/year, commensurate with experience, with additional funding for professional development and travel. Benefits include 24 vacation days per year (accruing monthly) and 11 paid holidays, as well as insurance options and retirement match options.
