As Program Officer for Community Cultivation, Brandon provides facilitation support for the Library Publishing Coalition and works across other Educopia affiliated communities and fiscally sponsored initiatives. Brandon’s community cultivation work includes backbone coordination support, streamlining processes, and identifying areas where fiscal sponsees can build additional capacity. Brandon is passionate about right-sizing infrastructures for groups in varying stages of development in order to advance collective action. Previously, Brandon was the Director of the Lab for the Education and Advancement in Digital Research at Michigan State University and co-led Endangered Data Week and the Digital Library Federation’s Government Records Transparency and Accountability Group. He received an MLIS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MA in American History at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
