Jackson Huang is the Program Officer for Sustainable Digital Infrastructures, where they serve as the community facilitator for the MetaArchive Cooperative and support research and consulting projects around digital preservation. Their work integrates critical perspectives and social justice into technical decision-making, community governance, and operational work around technological infrastructure in libraries and archives, in order to leverage digital technologies to address—rather than exacerbate—information inequities. Prior to joining Educopia, their work with the Trans Metadata Collective, the Research Organization Registry, and at University of Michigan focused on large-scale metadata systems and semantic justice. Jackson holds an MS in information from the University of Michigan and a BA in political science, education, and media studies from Swarthmore College.
