Wintergreen Women Writers Collective Receives $750,000 Award from Mellon Foundation

Building on lessons from the “Sacred Work” planning grant (2023-4), the grant will support the Wintergreen Women Writers Collective’s work over the next three years, with a focus on several key areas of development.
Educopia took a Summer Break!

Naming the importance of taking a pause in order to recharge and move forward with renewed energy, we’re piloting and instituting annual closures at key points throughout 2024. Our first pilot closure will be the week of July 29 to August 2nd.

The Wintergreen Women Writers Collective is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $150,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation to support its mission of promoting the work of women writers. The grant will be administered by the Educopia Institute, the Collective’s fiscal sponsor, and supported by James Madison University Libraries.

Educopia is proud to serve as the fiscal sponsor for Cita Press as they begin their Scaling Small grant project, expanding the Cita Press catalog, pursuing joint projects with Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) and other partners, and piloting and implementing revenue-generating programs to sustain Cita in the long term.
